2007 Legacy: Checkers is „Perfectly” Solved

    Jonathan Schaeffer and his team publish „Checkers Is Solved.” After 18 years of computation, their AI, Chinook, proves that perfect play by both sides leads to a draw. It is the most complex game to be mathematically solved to date.
